Honey Basted Roast Turkey Recipe Ingredients required:- 1 10 - 12 lbs turkey
- 2 tablespoons peanut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground sage
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- 1 small bunch green onions
- 4 tablespoons honey

Honey Basted Roast Turkey Recipe Instructions & Tips:Preheat oven to 350°F. Remove giblets from the turkey and reserve for gravy. Rinse the turkey thoroughly and pat dry. Rub inside and out with oil. Season with sage, allspice, salt and pepper. Stuff neck and body cavities with onions and truss (optional). Position the turkey in a roasting pan. Place in the oven, allowing 18 to 20 minutes per pound, until juices run clear with no hint of pink when thigh is pierced. During the final 60 minutes of roasting, baste the turkey 2 to 3 times with honey. Serve with pan gravy. If desired, garnish with decorative string of cranberries and bay leaves or sage leaves.
